yikes
As a 2nd grader I let a 5th grade boy talk me into putting my tongue on the the merry go round on the playground.......in February. It was 12 below zero and as soon as I did it he pushed the thing and took an inch of hide off my tongue. My father said "see I keep telling you to keep your mouth shut"!

I cannot begin to tell you the BAD things we did as kids. The stuff we posted so far is nothing. Even the things we did as routine like driving around with a beer between your legs is practically a hanging offense now. The bad stuff is R or even X rated and involves, fast cars, experimenting with all sorts of mind altering substances, abortion ,guns, rock bands, groupies, and that just scratches the surface. We were not saints!

My sister's kids can't believe some of the stuff we did as kids.
We weren't allowed to tell them till they hit their 20's...and even then we held back some things.
Hey, we turned out ok for the most part....

Keg parties at "the pit",... you had to walk in down the railroad tracks, then down a path through the woods. There was a big firepit (hence the name "the pit"). Inevitably someone got the idea to jump the firepit and didn't make it, ...at least a couple of times a summer.

I stayed home with my kids TO MAKE SURE they didn't do the stuff we did. Maybe we protected them too much but the cops lost their sense of humor somewhere along the line and started actually arresting people for doing stupid things....imagine that!
I thought all of that stuff was behind me until I hooked up with a guy I hadn't seen in 17 years last fall and took him on our bird hunting trip up north.
Seems he was still in party mode and had some bench warrants out on him which he neglected to mention to us. The wardens stopped us to check our licences and his license had his driver's licence number on it. Since we were well out of cell phone range they couldn't call in any numbers until they got out of the woods. The next day the wardens literally hauled him out of his sleeping bag at 6:00 in the morning, guns drawn, and hauled him away in handcuffs. I had to drive 70 miles to Ashland to bail him out. $540 dollars later. It was strange to see that stuff again after 20 years of being a total good guy! Guess who isn't going hunting with us again??

And for that we're grateful! It's a wonder some of us didn't kill ourselves.

I'm so old I don't know why Frog-ger without the - is a bad word. Can someone DM me and tell me what I just inadvertently said please? Gees. It's a freaking frog on a video game 25+ years ago. How bad can it be?

Now, Peachie, you've got me curious! It couldn't have been THAT bad - at least you are still alive!
Yeah.. it was pretty bad. But even back then... Killing was against the law too.
