How did you spend this Sunday?

I put down the rug I bought at the yard sale on Saturday, looks good, then walked over to the IGA and Raye's Mustard Mill. Came back and contemplated mowing the grass but did laundry instead - gonna have to mow this week. Had a light dinner and got Daddy settled in for the night about 8 PM, took the corgis for one last walk before bedtime.

Today I went to a local church in Gorham. If I could find a church home here, it would save on gas and driving time, but I identify very strongly with the denomination I was brought up in, and the closest is in Portland. The church I went to yesterday, is very beautiful old colonial white steepled Congregational Church and the minister gave a powerful and thought provoking sermon....I liked where he ends up but his theology is a bit different from mine. The people were friendly and welcoming.

I was glad to be there.

sometimes it takes a while to find the right place to put down spiritual roots, but it is a very important part of "being home." At least I think so... I'm glad you had a good experience, despite the different route.

Thanks Elston, she's been grinning (lacking several teeth right now) from ear to ear all day. She's looking forward to anther try, maybe tomorrow.

I hope you find your church home soon. Finding a place to fellowship is a very important aspect of our move to Maine. I'm a little nervous as my church is the only one I've known for many years.
