Boy, oh boy...I love my Harley! Just got back from Myrtle Beach Rally, looking foward to my next. Tomorrow starts the rally in Laconia, NH, one day I will get back there again. I've been riding for over 20 years, and very simply put...loud exhaust saves lives!!!! That's why they don't bother you about noise. Cars do not pay attention to road, let alone motorcycles, especially now-a-days when they are to darn busy with their cell phones, eating, or putting on make-up etc... I throughly enjoy sitting back on my Harley, and enjoying the freedom only a motorcycle can give you. Overpriced you say...worth every penny, uncomfortable...try a Corbin seat. Harley Davidson...nothing finer.

To each his own! Harley Davidson has sure made a ton of money.

Good for you. Glad you enjoy riding. Harley's are nice, can't argue with that. And you will find plenty of people out there like you who believe that loudness saves lives. Just don't expect us all to jump on that bandwagon. I can give you statistics but I won't. Just too boring to read. Good riding skills, proper awareness of your bike and surroundings, good riding gear and helmets save lives. Not the loudness or quietness of your bike.

Did you opt for a Corbin seat?

That's pretty nice but it's gonna need a bigger pipe. I'd love one. And about 3 others in a stable of bikes. Triumph's are cool looking.

Thanks. That's what I like about it. No glitz and bling just a solid retro styled bike.

Here, here Clownshoes I am with you.

007... As to good riding skills, well I've been riding 20years so I think I have a little experience there, and as to safety.. NC has a helmet law so I have to wear one.

Maineah...love my Corbin Ostrich seat. I have a softtail deluxe, couldn't get a tiny pix of it.
