I have to agree that I hate the loud noises that motorcycles make when they twist their throttle thingy or have a really loud exhaust system. I also hate hearing a car go by with the bass so loud that I feel like my head will blow off.

Guess I'm wondering why people like that don't have more consideration for others and only think of themselves and who they are trying to impress. Doesn't impress me, ticks me off and ruins my mood most of the time.

But, then, I'm just an old lady who has never been on a motorcycle and don't ever plan to get on one.

I do have my purple "Betty" electric scooter though and it doesn't make any sound at all unless it's me shouting 'Ya-HOOOOOO' as I ride gleefully at a whopping 10 miles an hour, that's my top speed.

"I also hate hearing a car go by with the bass so loud that I feel like my head will blow off."

I am reminded of a visit to Portland a couple of years ago. I thought there must be a parade going by. I stepped out to take a look and it was coming from some distance away. I waited and it got louder with a heavy beat. Eventually a young lady came by in a Honda Element. It was the loudest speaker I had ever heard. The base was so loud that the Element seemed to jump up and down. The roof quivered like the skin on a drum. Water jumped out of nearby puddles. Eventually the sound faded out as she went off toward Falmouth.

No Harley could ever compete with that Honda Element.

Glad it worked out. The USA is full of trigger happy cops. If cops couldn't carry guns there would be no incentive for many of these macho types to remain cops.

I kinda laugh when I hear alot of people twist the throttle thingy. When your in a large group it sounds like the bikes are talking to each other. Let's face it in this state there is not a whole lot of time for people to ride their bikes. Noise of bikes or cars, for me whatever. If the young people want to loose their hearing with the stereo blasting so be it they will pay for it later. I would rather have people write to the powers that be about the cost of gas and heating feul. Noise right now is small potatos. There are more important issues in life to worry about than the 2 months a year of motorcycle noise.

To answer the hottest bike question. My boyfriend thinks the Victory Jackpot. Polaris makes the Victory motorcycle which is American made. Victory the new american motorcycle. He pays attention to that kind of stuff. I am quite content riding on the back while he twists the throttle thingy. Horses are my thing.
