What kind of teen where you?
-50% bad a*s, 50% dumb a*s. I was a kid who skateboarded and listened to punk rock.
Who was your idol?
-Lance Mountain, Neil Blender and Ricky Windsor. But secretly it was a toss up between Han Solo and Indiana Jones.
What was your favorite group?
-I listened to a lot of obscure, underground punk rock so probably nothing that anyone has heard of. Other then that, probably Metallica (everything before the Black album), Run DMC, the Fat Boys and the Oldies station. I am totally serious, too.
Heart breaker or always heart broken?
-Little bit of both. What goes around comes around.
What kind of clothes were in when you were a teen?
-My teenage years crossed two decades so I guess the remnants of the late 80's mixed with the Vanilla Ice/MC Hammer of the early 90's. I dunno, girls wore a lot of biker shorts (the spandex kind) and had crispy bangs (aka mall bangs). I however did my own thing and looked like the typical skateboarder of the time. Google the time period or bust out your back issues of Thrasher for reference.
How old were you when you had your first "steady"?
-I had my first girlfriend before I was a teenager, but I met that Holy sh*t this is awesome, you are awesome and I want to be awesome with you for the rest of my life at the age of sixteen.
Peachie_in_maine mentioned that being a teenager in Maine was different then being a teen in another state. I have know idea what it was like being a teen in Maine, nor if it was really different, however, I was a teen in the state of California and that was different.
It was different because most people do not realize just how big of an agricultural state California really is and it was weird to live in a major metropolitan city and grow up with friends and neighbors who were members of 4H. Not to mention all of the cowboys, rodeos and occasional horse ranch in the middle of a residential neighborhood.

I know I wanted to be a teen in california. So did all my friends.
When winter came,we were walking around wearing levi jean jackets on frigid days... instead of dressing for the day. My mother and father would roll their eyes because we looked cold. we were crazy.. for ones who thought we knew it all.

I guess I loved them the most since I went through two "tapes" of them of the same album.
I wore tight faded- shredded jeans High top sneakers & T-shirts fish next ties, big earrings, buckle boots.
Had big hair that was frosted as well.
( Yes Aqua Net was the Spray for Do's... speakin' of do's remember "Dippy Do hair stuff. )hehe
Okay, so I hung out with the bad boys and I was friends with EVERYONE in school.
I never broke a heart that I know of.
I don't think anyone liked me. lol * was everyones "peachie friend sister*
Most of the guys I hung out with were my friends thou. I went steady with a guy that dropped out of school to drive skidder with his dad. I was in love he had a dreamy black old chevy truck and we would drive the roads until the gas tank read E.
Yeah... I thought it was it. ~ you know the rest.
So after heart ache and still heart ache.. I met my first husband my junior year in high school.
Lets see... My girl friends were great... I had "sleep over's every weekend at my house.
( I believe this was because I was central located in a great area and had a huge 5 bedroom house.)
I can't remember a weekend that went by that I didn't have friends over. ( just that weekend I was grounded for the summer.)
Our big thing here was to go to "pit parties, and to the highschool dance .(* Remember the Video Dances?*)
I always loved to dance and I would dance with this crazy guy every time to "Ball Room Blitz". That was fun.
Sadly, school was never important ... friends and weekends were.
I don't think I had a real idol.
I loved MTV of course and (remember this for us mainie's) "All HIt Video's on Channel 7 late at night.
My first steady broke heart so bad that being a TEEN would never be in my wishes at all. But I like to visit being 7 or 8 with the rolling of the "big wheels and playing in the trees with my best friend in the world Dana. lol

lol, ball-room blitz (by sweet) havent heard that song in ages!!

What kind of teen where you?
rebellious to the enth degree
Who was your idol?
don't laugh, we were really into Cheech and Chong! (yes, we rolled that big bamboo)
What was your favorite group?
Areosmith, Foreigner, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker and of course ZZ!
Heart breaker or always heart broken?
I think I was pretty dork-ish
What kind of clothes were in when you were a teen?
70's stuff. Jeans with patches sewn on, jean jackets, sneakers.
I tried to slide past my dad wearing a halter top one morning, he said "young lady, get upstairs and put some underwear on!"
(i was wearing underwear but i knew what he meant)
How old were you when you had your first "steady"?
16 and I never made curfew, the bf and I were parked in my driveway (making out) and Dad would flash the outdoor light sending me signals to get my @ss in the door. I had ignored his signal for a while, next thing I knew the passenger side door flew open and he had a hold of my shirt collar.
I think I must have died of humiliation!
