I don't know much about what is going on up there, but the state has too much time involved with it for it to go bye bye.

Steve: The state doesn't need to keep subsidizing a sinking ship.

Baldacci's DEP would not let the boiler run at full power. They permitted it to run at about 60% power so GP bailed and left Maine. Then Baldacci came in and empathized with the union. He caused GP to leave! Then the town had the Baldacci land fill open up west of I-95. The prevailing wind is out of the west. Visitors coming up I-95 say, "Good Lord, what is THAT?" It smells like a dead moose that's been in the sun for a long time.
Red Shield is still under the inefficient boiler edict from the Baldacci administration. It's tough to run an inefficient plant when the only reason it's inefficient is a government rule.

I'm not picking up anything. The best intelligence I've heard so far is Forest's previous post as I know from his past comments that he rubs elbows with some of the folks that either work there or know somebody who does.
