I'll remember that...maybe Sandy Claws will bring me that Henry, with a scope. If I use .22 shorts, I might be able to get several before they realize what's going on.

Wow, that's steep. When I lived in Killeen, TX I was renting half of a duplex for the princely sum of $125/mo.

Um, Z, was that in 1950? Of course, Killeen is a world away from Houston, too. In this area, the only thing you can rent for $500 anymore is a run-down 1 br apartment in the worst part of town or a 500 square foot shack. I have seen a couple of those recently, but they're rented before the sign has time to settle in the yard.

How come women = money??
Some reason mens "wants" are more expensive then a women.
( of course that's my views on it.)
It's not told in the "good book", but here's what I see...
Here's the math...
Men + Snow Plow = Lots of $
Men + Power Tools = Lots of $
Men + Truck= Lots of $

Divide that by "pie" (*pumpkin or apple of course) and were looking at a world of hurt.

We were contacted yesterday by an investor...
about our house. We've never thought about anything like that, so I'm not sure what to think. They wanted all the specs and to see photos, which we sent them. We're just waiting to see if they contact us again. What should we expect in that situation? I'm sure they'd want us to give them the house - which we would at this point! Does anyone have any experiences to share?

Since this is an off-topic thread anyway...I had two cats named Sandy and Claws. Had Claws first, and then moved near the beach. Ended up with another kitty and named her Sandy. They were the best kitty couple I ever had. Still have Sandy but there will never be another Claws.

We have made 2 trips this week looking at a property in Bangor.
A 3 bdrm for $550, second floor, electric heat.
A 2bdrm for $550, first floor, oil-fired forced air heat.
And a 2bdrm for $575, first floor, oil-fired forced air heat.
They all pay for their own electric and heat. The landlord pays for water, sewer, garbage.
Most of the properties that we have seen the landlord pays for heat. But there are a few like this one where the tenants pay for their heat.

I'll continue the whole off topic and add that yesterday I stopped at a local sandwich shop and the guy standing in line in front of me had on a Maine T- shirt. It said "Casco Bay Pack Rat- Old Orchard Beach". Of course I almost hugged him before I even said hello, any fellow Mainer must be a friend! I told him where I was from. He was with a couple other guys all from Maine that had just arrived yesterday. He asked if I lived here and I told him I had extended my vacation that started in June 06.
What a coinkydink!

The two little houses are $500 a month - built by an individual up the street from us. The bigger house is across the street from us and rented a few months ago for $850 after being on the market for a year and a half. It has major foundation problems and the siding is rotting off when you look up close.
