Our weather today isn't looking so great.... I've got to make a trip to Bangor late this afternoon, and it looks like Katy and I will be driving over and home in yet another hard rain. Hopefully it will be over before I have to head to Ellsworth tomorrow at 8am! The good news is that the reason we're going to Bangor is because Katy is looking into an international ambassador program for youth, and she was accepted without having to complete the application or obtain letters of recommendation Of course she bugged the heck out of them by sending emails once or twice every week for about 6 weeks! lol The first informational meeting is tonight, and we'll get all the particulars, including cost
That's awsome!!!! Tell her we're SOOO proud of her!

[quote=starwalker;5192600]Macbeth, isn't it?? Though the phrase "something wicked this way comes" always brings to mind one of my favorite science fiction authors (who I have actually met... saw him waiting for a bus once and offered him a ride!) Ray Bradbury who wrote a novel by that name.quote]

Yes 2nd witch in McBeth.....and it should be "pricking" not "picking"; it was used as a title of an Agatha Christie book and also was in a tv horror movie that scared the bejesus out of me about 35 years ago.

We need some positive vibes flowing down here! This is an unbelievable day. So far, we had to replace our entire A/C unit - NOT CHEAP!!! We had to replace the front two tires on our van......then, when DH was headed to get the girls from school, the van died and is now sitting on the street while the local dog catcher is running him to the schools! (Ok, so there is a glimmer of humor, there!) But still.........what the heck?? All in one day?

I'm about to start some serious kitchen cast iron pot therapy! Geez!!

Ok, I have to share this! I spent some time in my kitchen earlier speaking to our issues of the day and visualizing our pretty red van pulling into the driveway in perfect shape. DH went back down the street to see about the van this afternoon, and it started right up! When he came pulling into the driveway, I was looking out the kitchen window at him. All I could do was smile!
