Kel72 is on a distinguished road
Default Waterville, winslow area motels

I am planning to be in that area for the 4th of July week. I have a place I usually stay but I was wondering if anyone knew of some hotels/motels in that area that are nice, clean and reasonable? I already know about the big chains, I am looking for a smaller one.

Thanks in advance

The best place to stay in Waterville is the newer Hampton Inn. The other places are all older, not as sound proof and just not as nice. The Comfort Inn was undergoing some renovations when we left WTVL 2 years ago so I haven't seen the end result. There is an older Holiday Inn and a Best Western (former HoJo). I would avoid the Econo Lodge and Budget Host at all costs.
