Default Eastport - go ahead and hurt me!!

So I've been drooling over the Eastport photos, as usual. I've got binders upon binders of over organized information on Eastport and Addison both. Crowley Island looks nice too. I really like Eastport the best though.

Anyway, as I was reading through the Eastport page here it's got a link to the weather.

Keep in mind, where I am in TN, it's in the upper 90s with a very high humidity level. I know it's more comfy than where I was in FL, but right now you'd have a heck of a time convincing me.

So, I can't help but think how awesome it would be there right now with my house built, right on the water. Big wrap around deck. Enjoying coffee (it's only 10AM here). Maybe some homemade strawberry ice cream. *Sigh.*

So, go ahead. Hurt me. Everyone tell me how great the weather is there and that I need to hurry up and get there and get that house built and make everyone fresh homemade ice cream!!!

It's drizzling and a little cool here today with a light sea breeze - not too good for drinking coffee on the deck. I stayed in the kitchen today with my coffee.

Hot coffee, leftover biscuits fried on the griddle with butter and real maple syrup. That was my breakfast on the screened in porch beside the lake. I couldn't see across at 5 AM, but then the fog lifted.

Thanks!

I had to cancel our September trip up. It's killing me. I want to come up so bad. Hubby's just not able to do traveling. 2 hours to Nashville about kills him. How are we supposed to build there and commute back and forth during the seasons? *sigh*

Eastport is a beautiful little town. But because it's on Passamaquoddy Bay it stays pretty chilly in the summer time. Foggy alot.

Default Walking

Yesterday morning my walk was a cool one (I wore a sweatshirt) and the sea mist was in and it was all around me. You could smell and feel the sea. Spectacular-I will never spend a summer (if I can help it) in the heat. And Summer is my least favorite of the 4 seasons here-I love the winter and the icy frosty wonder of it all and the brilliance of the Fall with cool days and slightly chilly nights-I just sleep better when its cool. But of one has to have summer (which we all do) MAine is the place to be.

You will get up early in Eastport in the summer. The sun is up and it's bright outside by 4:30am every day......I remember reading about the WACO opening at 4am for coffee. When I went to Eastport, and found out when the sun comes up....that isn't early at all. I suspect dawn is about 3:30am....... Hence the nickname for Washington county - Sunrise County.
