The Olive Garden is okay for pasta [though after having lived in Italy for three years, and my Dw makes our own pasta] it jsut does not compare well.

the first few times we ate at Jade, it was good; however it seemed to go downhill of late... less variety and inconsistent quality. However I am not picky... it's the company as much, if not more, than the food that draws me.

Sea Dog gets my vote. I'm not crazy about Olive Garden's prepackaged foods but I'll happily follow the crowd.

On second thought, the Sea Dog is less crowded, has a view of the river and is easy to find.

We could meet at a Park. ???

Sewall Park in Old Town (for example) has hiking trails, lake and picnic area with facilities. Everyone could bring a lunch.

Basically, I think we're looking for a place to meet with chairs, something to drink, cool so we aren't over heating as well if it's humid, space enough for us to feel comfortable, and if the food is good~ a bonus.
We have a mixed about of people for different months that we could have one in August and September. I think that's also a good plan.

I can't drink that day or anything... I have to stay alert to dodge moose. hehe

So we can be reasonable about saying one meet in August and one in September...
and... Maineah, if you need a few dollars for gas to make it our way we can start a can for you at my restaurant.
It will read,
"Send Maineah to Bangor"
...make a young man's dream come true."

Mensaguy gets back here on September 5 - I'd love for him to be able to meet and greet and eat with everyone. We'll be leaving on September 11 or 12.

Smile In the Bangor area all July but...

...than I must get back to work in the Gulf of Mexico.

I would be interested in meeting fellow CSers here in Bangor anytime this month (July).

Actually, I am also looking for a couch anytime during the month since my house closing in Bucksport has been postponed until July 31. Anyone have a spare couch for a day or 2?

Ralph

How about a smaller gathering before the end of July?
