Just read a national news article about a woman in Gorham, Maine who found a reticulated python in her washing machine!!! Are there really pythons in Maine? What other critters (other than the obvious moose, deer, fox, skunk, etc. forrest animals) can be found in Maine???

Pythons can not survive the temps in Maine. The python is either an escaped pet or someone put it there. The weather extremes will kill them.
Pythons don't fare well under 80 degrees.

We have pythons, boa constrictors, mountain lions, African lions and wild hogs. All of these have been in newspapers in recent years and all have been captive wild animals who either got out or got dumped by their owners when they got too big.

Some eco group had a bunch of wolves penned up in the town of Stoneham. Game wardens brought them road killed deer and moose. Somehow a tree came down on their fence. What a surprise! Fortunately the wolves headed right back to where they came from, northern Quebec.

That was no beast - that was a cross between a dog and Bigfoot.

Bigfoot sightings are one major reason why my DW and I want to move to Maine!

That's just Henry out picking bottles along the road. Some drivers wing them back into the woods. Those are the ones that Henry gets.
