I don't think there are any lobster pounds in Robbinston. Lobster pounds are found in Stonington, Rockland, Vinalhaven, Owls Head, Spruce Head, Jonesport-Beals.....typically where lobstering is a big industry.

I'm DMing you. I just know area suppliers I have called is basically selling the 1.5 lb lobsters. I've been trying to get my hands on something in the 3lb range for "tonight".
If you purchase them in the area at grocery stores they are "around" 8.99lb.

If you are looking for a restaurant, the Chowder House in Eastport would probably be the closest, not to mention the view out the windows are phenomenal.
I believe the Happy Crab also has lobster, not sure about the WaCo though.

Yep, WACO has lobster, New Friendly's on Route 1 has lobster, Heslin's Dining Room between Robbinston and Calais has lobster, the Redclyffe Dining Room in Robbinston has lobsters.

I got two hugeeeeee lobsters today. The claw on one is going to make nice "maine" meal.
This man that's coming in tonight is going to have close to 8lbs of lobster just for himself. I'm going to take a picture if I go "back" later.

Chowder House in Eastport would definitely have the best view...I don't eat lobster so I can't recommend a restaurant for that particular meal.
Lobster pounds are where lobsters are stored ( with water running through) so that the best price can be had. That is really a VERY simplified explanation. There is a restaurant in Lincolnville Beach called The Lobster Pound..always busy

Boat today in Harpswell was $4.25lb. Not much sign of them in there yet. Catching a few, nobody is getting rich. Cross your fingers that these guys/gals can salvage a season out of this year.
Happy thoughts to all my lobsterman friends!
