I'm with you Mermaid - not everything should be a shared experience. My neighbor has ONLY an outhouse. Her shower is outside. NMLM, it's Gram's on my road. 7th, I didn't know know outhouses were ever off the first floor. Wow!

OK, I threw on my muck-lucks, climbed through the clean-out and took this picture from underneath-pewwwwww....

........I'd only do this for C-D.....
Here are the 3-holes....the one on the far left is for junior users....

.....and what's an out-house without corncobs......

Those cobs are probably over a hundred years old!!!

OK, I've used an outhouse or two or three, but please tell me: what are the corncobs for?
Thanks,

Ahh!
Thank you; knew about the Sears catalog, but oh so glad I never had to use the corncobs. Wincing just thinking about it.

Well there's gopher holes, donut holes, bean holes, worm holes, and now you see where the term for using corn cobs came from!

A three holer - holy smoke!! Now I've heard it all. I always thought of myself as a pretty free spirit with a 'if you don't like it don't look attitude', but even I draw the line there!! LOL!!
Thanks for the info on the local homes up for sale. I wish we could get up there.....
