Lee Maine Info? (Lincoln, Jefferson: 2009, sex offenders, crimes)

Hello All. My family and I are potentially taking a new job in Lee Maine and I am trying to find information on the area. Specifically I was curious about daycare in Lee. I can't seem to find a listing in the yellow pages at all. DOes anyone know of any and or what the rates might be? ALso...what is there to do in Lee?

I grew up in Lee, and it is a very small town. There isn't much to do at all. I am not sure about daycares in Lee, but I know that there are a few in Lincoln which is the nearest place with anything to do. Lincoln is about 15 minutes to half an hour away from Lee depending on where you live in Lee. Lincoln has a Wal Mart and a Hannaford supermarket as well as some smaller stores and a few resteraunts, so you don't have to go too far for something to do.

Lee is just a village. a nice one though. has a small ski mountain and the local high-school, junior high too. few general stores/gas stations. but no bars or other commercial recreation opportunities. daycare is likley available but unlikely to be found in online yellow pages listings. probably through a few entrpreneurs operating Montessori type schools from within their homes. perhaps with 5 to 10 kids enrolled and in attendance at various times of various weekdays... call daycare listings in Lincoln and just tell them your next job may be in Lee and ask for a referral to anyone providing daycare there... if you strike out, send me an email and i'll get my neice to write you. she cares for 6 kids in the Montessori model i talked about, but in Lincoln...

I live in Lee. There are a few individuals providing day care along with their own kids. There is a head start program in Lee, but it runs only during the regular school year and the family must qualify financially for a child to be in the program. The nearest regular day care center and nursery school is in Lincoln; 8 miles from the center of Lee.

The best one in Lee prefers to serve parents that work full time so the children are there on a regular basis, not just dropped off occasionally. I have contact info if you send me an E-mail.

Hi,
I just bought a house in Lee and we love the little town. We are moving from a town similar in size. We had lunch at the gas station/grocery store/diner. We were talking about going to the town hall after lunch and a nice man told us the hours were very unusal and they probably were closed. He was right. Monday 9-1 then 5:30 - 8:00 and the rest of the week 9-1 only. I loved the feel of the town and being only 10 miles from Lincoln where I can shop at Hannaford's. I can't wait till next year when I can get a boat and go on Silver Lake. I am so excited. I also am going to love watching them ski down Mt Jefferson this winter.
