Lobster tails??? Surely you gest!

That's Florida lobsters you're talking about.
Lobsters are still around $5.99 a pound more or less. You get the whole thing.
You can get them already cooked at a number of places. Clear meat is around $35.00 a pound.( a pound is a lot of meat!)
Lobsters are only at their best, freshly cooked from the pot, with a big dish of melted butter! Served with a dish of fresh steamed clams and broth and fresh steamed native corn on the cob. You'd be hard pressed to find a better dinner anywhere else on the planet!

As I've mentioned, Florida tails are nothing like the "real thing, baby". Disgusting, in fact. I'm not sure I'd ever go for / spring for the 'clear meat' deal at $35 bucks a pound. Phew! That's a hard pill to swallow. IMHO, if you're willing to pay the price (as a visitor), just sit down -fork out the CC - roll up your shirt sleeves and do it, down and dirty!

Support your local fisherman and merchant!

RIGHT ON?

You bet Mermaid! The native corn is in soon(early is here but I like the later stuff) and that's when the lobsters are at their best for the summer in my humble, yet always correct, opinion!
We're looking forward to a big feed soon with all the fixins' and a big blueberry cake for dessert. Maine ....what a place!
August is my favorite summer month!

Grab corn while you can. The rain is causing serious problems for farmers. I don't think my corn is pollinating properly this year.

That may be true! The corn I have had so far has been pretty tough. Early corn sometimes is though this corn was like the stuff Hannafords has from Chile in the winter.
