Me either. We've been 95 plus for quite a while, then jumped to 100+ over the last few days. I can't breathe when the temps top 90, so the majority of May though September, I'm stuck in the house.

Intense heat??? We've only had the air conditioning on once this whole summer!!! You can have the rain. I'm sure the farmers with rotting crops will agree we've had more than enough rain. We broke a 100 year old record in the Portland area for rain yesterday.

I won't tell you about our warm, sunny weather. Rain is always welcome here, since we see so little of it.

Summer showers are not a problem and quite welcome. This summer is a reversal of the norm though. Usually it's sunny most of the time and we get two or three showers a week to keep things watered. This summer it's raining most of the time with little peeps of sunshine every few hours. It never dries out enough between the storms as they're dumping inches of rain in just a short time. I have not been able to mow, paint, cut wood or anything else for the last two weeks! We have a bunch of wild turkeys out back that come out to our exposed ledge rocks to sun themselves every time the sun returns for an hour or so. It's funny to see them all up there trying to dry off until the next shower starts.

Hey the sun is out ! I think I'll wash my dogs ears. I'll be back when it starts raining ....about a half an hour I'd suspect.

Four days into the month and 4" of rain is too effing much rain. I was above my ankles in mud today to pick bell peppers. Potatoes are under 3" of water and will rot if it doesn't drain. Tomatoes are beautiful, red and splitting. Cucumbers are almost tasteless because they're too wet. There's a huge difference in flavor in the cukes I'm growing in a water controlled greenhouse and those in the field. Raspberries are molding on the canes. This afternoon I drove over two streams that are at the tops of the banks. We should be talking about how low the water is now, not how high. I feel bad for farmers who make 100% of their income in fruits and/or vegetables this year. I have another source of income and Steve's salary.

Look you! I'll take that as you're volunteering. Start dancing but make it a sun dance! It's not too hot here. It's 68*, the wind is blowing and it's going to rain again.

Be sure you are facing East, as you swing a Red Squirrel by the tail, in the buff.
