I just finished for the day. I'm grateful that the rain held off until now. Yup, I pay in veggies. I'm paying for installation of four new windows in the house in food! It would be a lot easier to pay for those windows if the sun would shine.

This is so much fun isn't it? Now they're saying slow improvement over the weekend and sunny again by Monday! Let's hope so. I had the heat on in the truck yesterday and came close to building a fire in the kitchen stove! My brother had a fire in his stove yesterday. It's August for crying out loud not October!
If we swing back in to this pattern this winter for this length of time can you imagine how much snow would be on the ground? Too much for snowmobiles to go through! I think I'll invest in some snow shoes .....to be on the safe side.

I skin is turning to a dull "unsummer" color. I like fall, but I like it in October.

Damn it! <sigh> I mowed weeds (no exaggeration) with the big weed thingy that looks like a lawn mower and got them tilled into the soil to break down. Got other soil tilled, an organic fertilizer spread and planted 300 broccoli seedlings. And now it's raining. That's it for the day. Everything else is going to have to wait til the soil can drain again.

The sun dance isn't working. Zedzul, you just go sit down and stop that snow dance before you find yourself at the bottom of a snow bank. How about we all try a rain dance and see if we can use reverse psychology on Mother Nature?

AAAARGHHHH

I have a good bit of wood on the ground that I really hope I will be able to use for heat this winter. But if my trails don't dry out it will be tough to go in and get it.
