Belfast, Camden (where Iris Dement played this summer), Blue Hill, are all excellent and beautiful places. Shops, Restaurants, ambiance, but fixer-uppers around 100k? maybe a trailer outside of town, in a marsh.

Well so far I think we are going to take a look at - Eastport and Milbridge. My wife already called wallys up in Calais - and she has a job if she wants one. I guess my only concern with Eastport is what kind of part time gigs are up there for me? I have to do something or I'll have to sleep on the couch=)
Milbridge is within driving distance of several larger towns which means I should be able to make a few bucks here and there on the off season.
Thoughts?

I do appreciate the input though, Thanks!
Eastport? - I have never been there, Do you have alot of tourists?
what is the weather like- Meaning is it gray or do you actaully see the sun? Lastly is it flat, hilly or mountainus? - I did see a lot of photographers on your website - One more may be to much maybe?
Blue Hill - Been there love it ! but it seems abit pricey, no?
Willb - I was in Hurley today, Was the Hurley Mountain inn around in the 70's?
Perry or Robbinston - much of a tourist trade?
Belfast - tell me more please
Wasington county - interests me as well - very big though, any thoughts on a favorite coastal area that may fit my wish list?
oh yeah - Dont mind the cold at all, prefer it over the heat. do like to see the Sun every once in a while - Seattle and Ithaca where a little to gray for me..
how many towns did I just knock of my list=)
thanks again all! - I will be heading back up in a few weeks.

Though this may already have been answered, Eastport is in a the coastal part of Washington county... and a lot of us fell in love on our first visit!

We went and picked a lot of really fine blackberries up in MenMe's adopted backyard last evening, and after our morning walk we had blackberry waffles for breakfast. After a productive day's work and play we took a gallon of South end Blackberry Daiquiris over to a nice gathering with some friends on the water side of Water St. and sat on the glassed in porch, looking out on Indian Island and Thrumbcap, watching the whirlpool, and covering the full spectrum of ideas with a very diverse group. It keeps getting better...

Blackberries
I hope to be able to pick some blackberries next summer for a few jars of jam.
I bonded with my home and the community of Eastport during the summer and I have such heartache to be back home.
