there use to be a drive-in in manchester (between augusta and winthrop) where j&s oil is now, what fun we use to have there!!!!

My Dad had a big station wagon. He put us all in and took us to see Cinderella at the drive in when we were kids. When we were tired he'd make a bed in the back and we'd curl up to sleep. The last time I remember going to a drive-in, was as a teen to see The Exorcist. There were eight of us in a buick, (no seatbelt laws). One of the girls was drinking beer and at the infamous "pea soup vomit scene", she tossed her lunch all over the car.  |

Does anyone know if the drive in on route 302 in Bridgeton is still open. Used to go there when I lived in Windham along with Prides Corner. Used to go to Houlton, Brewer and Bangor drive in's as a teen.

Wow, this dates me, but the last drive-in I visited, Porky's was playing!  I was young.....what were my parents thinking???  We have no drive-ins that I'm aware of around here anymore. It would be a very cool trip! Hopefully there will still be a few open when we get there! |
