things in and around Corinth
Does anyone know anything about a wonderfully, madly, brightly multicolored house tucked in the woods on the east side of Black Road, not too far off the West Corinth Road, on the way to the Wonderland Christmas Tree farm??
there will be pictures later, once I have taken some and find the cord to download into the computer again...

Just that it is: 'wonderful, mad, bright multicolored house tucked in the woods on the east side of Black Road, not too far off the West Corinth Road, on the way to the Wonderland Christmas Tree farm.'

Well I mentioned it to my massage therapist, who lives in Charleston, and she said her sister lives down that road. The sister noticed it too, and stopped at one point to meet the folks and learn about the house. Apparently it is also of interesting design and the folks let the kids decide on the colors and perhaps paint part of it.
I was told they likely would prove friendly if I also stopped for a visit, which I will do at some point in the near future.

Counting Dover-Foxcroft as "around Corinth" (since we go there for "town" errands as much as to Bangor) I want to share this... tomorrow (October 10) at Hutchins Hall their open mic night features Annagret Baier, lead drummer from the group “ Inanna” The Hutchins Hall website says "Hours: 7:00 - 10:00 PM • Donations at Door". I am planning to go...

I used to take the kids pumpkin picking in Corinth.... I can't remember the name, but last time I mentioned it to MW she knew it right away. It was wonderful!! Is the Countryside Restaurant still there? It used to be on the right side of the road, just out of town, heading north on 15... their food was very yummy! Before Adam's Strawberry farm which is on the left.... shoot, I think it's Adam's.... it's been a looooooong time!

Yes the Countryside is still there. Have they always served such LARGE portions?? K has gotten the "small" clam strip meal a couple of times for supper and ends up taking half of it home... ditto for me when I got the "small" shrimp. If we could ever agree on what to eat, ONE meal would feed us both, and I don't think I have even seen "senior" portions either. We ate there A LOT when we were first digging out of the boxes, and too stiff hardly hobble from the parking spot by the door to the table. It is our most common place to go out to eat, still... they have a breakfast buffet on the weekends, too.

Treworgy's is just down the road from me... I go by every trip to Bangor. Haven't stopped yet. I did get a few apples today from Olmstead orchard, on 15 on the way back home from D-F. They do pick your own, too, but it was damp and I was feeling lazy so I just bought a bag.
