Are you getting up at the crack of dawn and fishing a 12 hour day to haul 400 to break even? What's boat in YOUR area? You must be from a different coast of Maine than my family and friends are. My friends have to plow driveways all winter. My friends have to work construction throughout the dead of winter just to keep up with the COL.
You're sick of hearing about it? Perhaps you ought to walk (or fish) a mile in their shoes. ARGH!

Sorry for the rant folks, this one just touched a nerve.

When I lived on Verona Island I had a lobsterman for a neighbor. He headed down the bay one Saturday on the outgoing tide and as he came to a small island there were two outboard boats pulled up on the beach and the tourists were having a clam bake. He sure wondered where the lobsters came from. Then as he pulled a trap he found a quart of whisky inside. He took a swig, hoisted the bottle, gave a wave toward the beach and continued on his way.
