Maybe it's just a Rockville/Camden thing...I went for a run today and lost count at 20 vehicles with vanity plates. The girlfriend was getting annoyed because I was blurting out "hey, another vanity plate!" every few minutes. I've never seen so many vanity plates in one place as I have around here.

I had a friend seek out getting FYYFF and when the person behind the counter asked what it meant, she told them "For Your Young Furry Friends", and got a quizzical look and was denied because it'd already been taken anyway.

I've been trying to get 2BZ2P in Wisconsin for a number of years - been denied each time. Maybe one of you busy fellows in Maine can try for it. I also applied for MAINE - also denied. But for a number of years I had ENIAM on my military veteran plate (Maine spelled backwards, so at least it made sense thru a rearview mirror.

You may need to stay clear of that van.

That was probably ranger.101st running from mrs.ranger, based on what we've learned from previous threads dealing with the issue.

We have lived in many states and Maine by far has the most vanity plates we have ever seen. We really enjoy reading them, there are some really funny ones out there. I always joke with my husband that I will most remember the vanity plates in Maine when we move

I was once a firm believer in vanity plates. When I was married, mine was ILUVJIM while the clown I married was true to form with ILUVME2.

After he died, I changed it to AFARMER. That also became my handle on a members-only site I belonged to.

When I became a poultry farmer, I advertised by way of my tag with: FRSH EGZ.

When I could no longer farm, I changed it to my initials, including my maiden name initials. Unfortunately, there were some who felt it stood for something vulgar. So I returned to the normalcy of standard issue. Now it looks like I am a rolling terrorist with the first three digits being IED. Standard issue. Go figure.
