Right now as I type this there exists a thread titled: "Bangor Eastport directions clarification"

The CD A.I. has added the words "(Calais, Union: travel, house, construction) "

Look quick as the keyword list might change.

Now as I understand the A.I. is trying to form a list of keywords to describe the conversation happening within that thread.

I often see these keyword lists being added to thread titles.

Rarely do they have any connection to the OP.

My question is: Am I in an entirely different universe? Or is the A.I. smoking crack?

P.S. this is a phenomina that is happening within the CD "Maine" subforum so I feel that it is within the topic of the subforum.

It looks like all those keywords are to be found somewhere on the first page of posts. BTW, I followed a link to view Eastport condos, but couldn't find any. Of course, I didn't find any when I was in Eastport either.

Just noticed that the second page of posts has a different set of keywords: (Brewer, Holden: hotels, travel, work).

After that, the extra keywords disappear.

Now that I know the words in () are "key" words...how come this tread doesn't have any?

I just checked on the food board...no key words there. Ummm....

After a series of operations with a SEAL team in Vietnam the Army part of that operation could not understand how the Navy operated. The SEALs operated at night in narrow canals and jungle areas. The Navy helicopters operated at night and in the rain. One SEAL summed it up in very few words:
"Other people are not like us." Very true.

Those who have browsed other City-Data boards and come here always remark how different this board is. I have never visited any other state board, but the reactions of newcomers to our board would agree that, "other people are not like us."

Having been a career submariner I can see where the phrase "Other people are not like us" may fit in other contexts as well.
