Default Delicious!

Those both sound really yummy to me!

I can't wait to come home again next month.

FOOD trip! REAL food.

(Ranger, nothing is better than your moms food - no matter how old you get)

Hey! We do to. Go figure. Accept Rachel Ray was suggesting cornish game hens so you can cook faster. Maybe we should change it up. Oh we did do a Turduckhen once. Blech.

Last year somone in my family suggested a Turduckhen. My brother in his sarcastic self said "no, I'd rather have a cat wrapped in a monkey wrapped in a goat." We had turkey.

Yesterday, I got my leave approved, so I will be spending Thanksgiving with my Sister and Aunt again. This year we will be in CT and not MD because my Aunt is not up to traveling. It appears that my cousin (aunt's daughter, who is older than I) is going to cook a Thanksgiving turkey - she has NEVER done that before.

Won't that be a problem with your dinner guests.. even if you add some touches to make it look like a turkey, they may suspect that somethings amiss.

Has anybody made any plans yet? Are you traveling or having guests in? Do you invite family and friends or just family?

Does your family have any special traditions that you would like to share?

Turkey / Ham or something gamey?

Stuffing or dressing? Have a recipe you'd like to share?

Does your family eat the traditional Thanksgiving dinner earlier in the day allowing the tryptophan to kick in before the big game? Or do you tend to eat a little later in the afternoon?

Who in your family does most of the cooking or is it a combined effort? Has your family ever requested that you never prepare that particular dish ever again? Have you ever been asked to leave or banned from the kitchen? (sorry, that was my own personal experience)

Do you get the kids or grandchildren involved with the cooking or set up special activities for them?

Is this the one time of year when you have to put up with the cuckoo aunt or quirky uncle? C'mon, you know you have one! We all do. Share!
