We hit our 500th cache yesterday in New Brunswick.... right after we visited a petrified forest that I never even knew was there!! Found it because of geocaching

and my on topic comment: You need to come now! I don't want to have to hire a dozer to dig the driveway out and the water thingy too so we can turn that on!

Unfortunately "now" is not a viable option. We just don't have enough money saved up yet. But we will by February! And we'll pay to have the driveway dozed. We also have to see how we're going to get insulation in there and how much that little necessity will cost.

We hope to, but you know everything depends on Dh's employment opportunities. We don't mind living on the edge of civilization (prefer it!) but we have to be able to eat. I really don't see it being a problem in his particular profession.

I was down at Myrtle Beach for 9 days, and out of touch since Wednesday, when our daughter took her laptop back to Orono. I just looked at the quote and it's much more confusing than I thought. It's door to door, but it's only for 10 feet on a 26 ft trailer, with a 101.00 for each additional foot. Sorry about that. When we left Maine on Oct 3 gas prices were in the 3.50 range with a low of 3.19 at 1 place in NJ and a high of 3.89 in NC. In South Carolina we saw the price go from 3.69 to 3.24 in 5 days, so gas prices may be a big factor in a good way. Good luck

Oh, yeah! Gas has dropped considerably over the last few days, so I'm sure any quote we get now will be different in Feb. We were down to $2.84/gal last night.

We're going to get a firm quote from them closer to time. Brad says it would be worth an extra few hundred dollars to have someone else move the house for us. We'll have to see what the actual figures are when it's time. I tend to agree with him. I also think it will likely be much harder to make the trip during winter and less than desireable road conditions with a big moving truck.

Has anyone mentioned pediatricians or family doctors in the surrounding area? Where will we go for that? We're used to traveling an hour or more into downtown for most medical services, so that won't be a biggie.

Almost everything can be dealt with at the health center, including dental work. It really is very convenient.
