Bangor - lobster/seafood & the barrens
Hi everyone,
I'll be in Bangor on Friday/Saturday and I had a couple questions.
First, I'm a big Stephen King fan and I want to check out "the barrens". I know where they are, but from the map I can't figure out where a good place to park would be to walk there. Does anyone have a suggestion?
Also, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a seafood/lobster restaurant in or around Bangor. Nothing fancy, just good food as fair prices. And all you can eat buffet would be super.
Thanks!

The seafood place I can think of would be Weathervanes on Wilson street in Brewer. Some one more local would probably be more knowledgable.

I'd go for the Muddy Rudder in Brewer or Sea Dog.... hmmm, or maybe Governor's. Oh, there is also a restaurant in Brewer (right across the bridge) called the Coach House--go there. Usually the food is great, the prices are very reasonable... I haven't been there in a while, but the scallops are outstanding

Nicky's Cruisin' Diner on Union Street is another option. They have "Cruise" nights, people bring their custom, antique and special vehicles.

Coach House is good, Nicky's Diner was a [big] disappointment, Capt Nick's is still there but I've never been there.

What do you know about the Eagles Lodge/Nest over on rt9? I've heard that the lobster roll is good.
