Just like Molly said, the Greystone is in Calais and I wondered about the one in Princeton. I know it has new owners too.

In Eastport, the Motel East has rooms with fridges and microwaves, and I believe the Todd house, Milliken house, Kilby house and even the Weston House would all find a place for you since the owners live on site. Good Luck.

If your going to bet on LNG helping up here, you may want to wait. I don't think it will get going here anymore than it all ready has. The Canadians are against it all the way to Ottowa. I think it will go the same course as the Quoddy Tidal Project. It was not getting an agreement with Canada that killed that too.

The Last Chance was a decent place from what I heard around. I never went there. It's proved too far out of town to make a good go of it. Owners moved to Az about 6 years ago. Trying to sell it ever since.

The rooms at Harris Point Motel have those as well as coffee makers. Unfortunately, they aren't open again until May, i think.

Thanks for the info. Hubby found the Greystone on a travel website we use, and it got nothing but raves. Guess we'll stay there, if they have a room for us, so that we'll be centralized to everything. Got to get a lot done in a brief amount of time. Find a house, visit the work site, and look into--well, a list of things too long to include here. Is Calais the county seat?

Nope, it's Machias -- pronounced with a "chi" versus a "ki"

Thank you! Don't you hate having to correct people on pronunciation, and I'm embarrassed to even ask. But I will. Is Quoddy pronounced "Kwah-dee" or "Kwoh-dee"?
And no making fun of my accent when I get up there!

Where the h*** is STEW-bin? Or is that something you people cook lobster in? At least I know that Calais is not like the city in France. It's like the thick thing on your finger. And I said "accent', not mispronunciation.
