I feel an urge to add my 5 cents worth ( fully aware that no one asked!)!
My dh is a hunter, a responsible, follow the rules and respect the tradition hunter.
Our 2 daughters and myself are vegetarians- 2 of us eat seafood, while one of us will not eat anything with eyes! My dh jkes to her that tofu have cute eyes!!
Our diet is a personal choice- not imposed by any person or set of beliefs.
That being said, I have no problem with my dh being a hunter and a fisherman. He hunts to kill and consume- not for fun or to inflict pain and suffering. He fully respects all the rules and is a law abiding citizen who pays for the proper licenses and hunting tags. He hates poachers. I prefer he eat free-range, no antibiotic, no added hormone meat/fish than consuming the garbage sold in the grocery store.
And, he just got his first ELK

Yup! Didn't go through the back window though. Re-sighted the gun and that was it. Learned my lesson and got rid of the cheapo plastic ones and got a quality one I ordered out of a hunting magazine.

So sorry for the mishap Ranger. Hope this cheers you up a bit. And since this is an animal thread, it's kind of apropos. Although this is kind of scary, I think you can handle it.
