Hey the first few dings are always the worst! Now they are character marks to remind you not to use window racks anymore!
I do know how it feels to do that. I was walking down a hill and stepped on a big icy rock and slipped ...gun went flying and landed on the rock sliding about 15 feet. Scratched the he77 out of it! I was mad but there was nothing I could do about it. I traded it a year later at a big loss!

omg I love the poodle arms and legs on the chick! hahahaha

I don't hunt, and have never been married to a hunter, but did have a friend whose hubby hunted quite frequently around here on the Cape back in the day when you didn't have to worry 'bout shootin' a tree-hugger who was out where they didn't belong! Love a good venison stew.. love a good rabbit, LOVE a good bird! ....but I don't think I could ever do the shootin or the cleanin... but I could handle the cooking end. Does that label me as anything? ut oh... maybe as the newbie I shouldn't ask this... tee hee.... .....and don't come back and say it labels me as lazy 'cause that surely ain't so!!! lol

Good luck Ranger and you're a good man to teach the kids how to hunt! Carrying on real Maine traditions! Go get 'em!

That's always a heart-breaker. Dinged up one of mine once. Almost cried.

Why don't you save the banged-up gun for one of your kids? As long as it works OK, I'm sure they'd be honored and delighted to have one of their own! (Wait till they're old enough to EARN a new one!).
