Default Ellsworth schools

Hello!
I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the quality of the public school district in Ellsworth. I know that Bangor, Hampden and MDI have good reputations but it seems like location wise Ellsworth would be great considering it is half-way between MDI and Bangor. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Well, I'm probably biased but my whole family has been educated in the Ellsworth school system: grandparents, parents, siblings, children. We all have good paying jobs - all over the country - and lead productive lives and have fond memories.

We all went to school eager to learn and grow and in my view that's the important part of the equation. Does Ellsworth have the very best facilities? Most accomplished teachers? Best student/teacher ratios? Probably not. But we all made it work for us.

Kids fail, act out and skip class in the very best schools, the middle of the road schools and the poor schools. Cream rises to the top and Ellsworth Schools are as good a place to start your ascent as any other in the area.

Thank you American Girl for your insights. We are not the type of parents that are obsessed with test scores of schools and how nice the school is. To us it is more important that there are a variety of educational opportunities for them them from shop class to AP classes.

Well said, American girl, overleaf might prefer a larger high school--like Bangor.
