what if you had the pine cones you can pick-up anywhere, and even spray silver, or gold
and have a red cardinal bird on the wreath! way to go! the bird is the up you see in the flower stores!

The 10 day forecast looks great through the weekend.

If you haven't been able to find rings please don't worry about it. Steve found three dozen I didn't know I have. I'll go through the list of people coming to DM my phone numbers and directions to my house. It's very easy to find.

It's not too late to say you're coming. If you wake up Sunday morning and discover you have the day free you're welcome to join us. There's plenty of brush, rings and food. I'll have brush picked for late comers and anyone who doesn't want to venture into the woods.

I just dug this out of page 2!! holy cow.... and it's this weekend everyone!! woo hoo!! Now, about the baking.... my 5 year old stove has become possessed, no joke--oven door locks and it growls at you, loudly---so, if the new stove arrives in time I'll be baking, if not it'll be cider and stuff. I have to say stuff because the second cup of coffee has not kicked in. The new stove is gas, so I need to have the line run, so we're not sure of the timing yet. Anyway, SUNDAY

Robin do you need me to come and help get tips? and I forgot about getting a ring... what do I get for wire?

I have plenty of rings. 22-24 guage wire in gray or green. By the time we get done nobody's going to have stems, wire or ring showing on their wreath(s) so color doesn't matter.

I'm going to tip Friday so that we have them here for late comers and and anyone who discovers it's more fun than expected and wants to make more. Do you want to come up then? I'll DM Peachie to be sure she sees this too.

This is on a Sunday? Hmmmm, I've never made a wreath before. My wife once had a job making those "kissing balls", now she can't stand to see them.

What the heck, I'm game, I like to make stuff...and I'm sure it *would* make her happy...she might even consider it a gift...when we first moved into our previous house we didn't have much money to play with, some of the studs were still showing in the rather small bathroom where the water heater was and there wasn't much in the way of shelves. I was splitting some pine and noticed that some of the pieces were about asa long as the space between the studs so I took some and carved some admittedly crude shelves from them and put them up between the studs.

I can't believe how tickled she was over that...and she wants me to take them from there and put them here, somewhere...go figure.
