Lightbulb Traveling Coastal Route 1..

Well.. I'll be gone for a few nights. We are heading down Route 1 (probably go down into Freeport and so on and then head back to Rockland tonight.

We wondered where you might have gone that you enjoyed.
Shops, restaurants, museums etc.

I need ideas. It's been a while since I have been able to relax and travel some.
(*I will take my computer with me, but it is our anniversary so I am not sure how much time I will have on the computer to respond.)
Thanks everybody... miss you already.

ohhhh! How great! Congratulations on your anniversary-- I had no idea! Have a wonderful time--- go to the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory, it's wonderful--unless you're afraid of heights--- and Pemaquid Point, oh, there's too many places to mention. If you had a Jeep I'd send you to the top of Waldo Mountain, but the peachimobile wouldn't like that!

Have fun and enjoy your trip!

Schoodic....ok, too many to mention definitely, wish I'd had a heads up I'd have made a list of possibilities!!

When we head back in the Fall, we sometimes go all the way down Route 1. We did that this year and stayed in Freeport, had dinner at Gritty McDuff's and got some ale to take home with us. I loved the new bridge, it was almost surreal going across it.

We also stopped in Damariscotta and again at Sheepscot River Pottery in Edgecomb.

Have a great trip.

Freeport huh?? That's where I live! Azure Restaurant is a nice Italian place with a good wine list. Harraseekett Inn is very good but quite pricey. You can go to the Freeport Cabaret for a drink and some entertainment. By the time you read this you'll have probably had dinner! Congratulations by the way!!!
