Did anyone see the article in Down East Magazine that just came out about the sea glass?

When Dano and I were in Eastport this past July, our 18-year-old son, Matt, found a bunch of sea glass for me....he said there was way more if I wanted it and that he could bring back a whole trash bag full, but then later I guess he got busy with other stuff and never got any more for me....(probably found some girls or something...)

Anyway, I wasn't sure what to do with it, but the article shows you how to make a wind chime with it...not sure if I have enough for that, tho, but I plan on taking him up on his offer for sure when we move there!

Sea glass is pretty cool!

Does anyone have any pix they would wanna share on here of creations they've made in sea glass?

*tap*

I've always liked sea glass. There was a thread a long time ago about it that had several links but, I couldn't find it. Here's one for Sea Glass Jewelry.

I never thought of that, but I guess you could just take a bunch of regular pieces of glass and put it in the tumbler and out comes the sea glass!! I have a bunch of bags of glass leftover from a mosaic I made a few years ago on a wooden chest......it came out beautiful but I have a lot of leftover glass from it......hmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Thanks for the great idea, Maineah!!

Saw that article too - I think sea glass would make excellent things to put in the garden - mosaic stepping stones, windchimes, candle holders, whatever!

I am amongst other things a mosaic artist and have a wonderful collection of sea glass and tumbled glass. The mag came last week, but I was up in Maine and my mail was held until yesterday. Haven't read the article, but ran and checked the issue to make sure you were speaking of this months issue... I'll be reading the whole magazine tomorrow! lol I love the link you shared Msina... the windchimes are beautiful!
