Maine/New Jersey have flipflopped weather today!
Here is our today's and our current weather in New Jersey right now compared with up in Maine. Usually (on MOST days) its about on avg 5- 10 degrees warmer here in NJ for the high, and about 3-8 degrees warmer for the low. Tommorrow it flip flops back to the norm, but you guys must be having a "heatwave" today as we have an opposite "cold front" LOL! We live 25 min away from where the World Series is being played in Philly.. its been cold and pouring rain for 2 days strait (which is why its been postponed!). So far it looks like its going to be beautiful up there next week for our trip though! Hopefully the weather men don't change their minds a few more times and it stays a "sunny forcast"! lol I don't mind the cold, but I don't want the rain next week! If there is going to be precipitation... I want it to be snow!
Atco, NJ - Sprinkles, 37° - Tuesday

I saw that system moving through last night on the National news. Looks like a bad one in upstate NY. Slippery roads and lots of accidents.
Hope things dry out for you guys.

ohhhh, that's what that was! When Katy got up this morning I said to her, "what on earth were you doing in your room last night?!" She looks at me laughing and says, "sleeping Mom! how much pain medicine did you take?" I haven't been able to figure out what I *knew* I heard!!

So, will the big snowstorm reach into Maine at all? I haven't watched the online video of it yet this morning, but it looks like a blast! hehe!! Ok, that was my best attempt at humor!

Last night my father in upstate NY called me to let me know that he heard that Maine was set for snow last night, between 6-12 inches (?)..........then he giggled like a school girl
So this morning I turned on the weather, and what do I see?....Dad's town covered in fluffy white stuff, while here it is a bit chilly and a little windy, but overall just a crisp, soon-to-be-sun-shiny day..
Guess who's giggling now?

LOL, yes, I heard they got hit over there! I can't wait until we do though-- weather wise November is my least favorite month. We don't usually have snow, but the ground is frozen, and everything is brown Not quite as much to do as when there's snow on the ground.
Temps are dropping here--down to 38 from the 45 it was at 6:30....

Email from a friend in Rangeley this morning says he sees snow on the mountain tops this morning.
I've had one blackbird at the feeder this morning. He must have been separated from the migrated flock. He sits in the trees calling but there aren't any others to answer him. The dark eyed juncos, American goldfinches and crossbills (not sure if they're red or white winged) are back for the winter.
