Just moved to Belfast
I just moved to Belfast and 1st off I have to say, it's gorgeous here! So far I'm just so excited to be here and start exploring. If anyone has some must sees in Belfast, can you please tell me? Restaurants, shopping, pubs, sight seeing? I love the outdoors and I'm not scared of the cold. I've heard Camden Bowl is nice for skiing?
I'm sure I'm going to love it here but some local opinions would be great.
Thanks everyone!

I've always been intrigued by the fact that Belfast has an active Curling Club, you know, that ***** Scottish game on ice with stones. Maybe you could check that out. Great oceanside vistas, of course. I beleive they have Scottish Highland games annually, too, if you're into that stuff.

There is a great Irish heritage in Belfast. You'll find many events throughout the year there. It's a gorgeous town! Be sure and eat at Dockside down by the water. Their tuna melt is great, and the service is even better! The bridge on the edge of town is nice, too. Oh, they also have a wonderful week of Christmas celebration with all sorts of things geared for the entire family. You'll love the holiday season there! We heard great things about Young's Lobster Pound, but it was closed in March when we were there, so we missed it. Check it out! Also, the Belfast Free Library is awesome! Their children's floor is definitely not to be missed. We spent a rainy afternoon there playing trains with our kiddos. It was great!

The Camden Snow Bowl is great...also, climb Mt. Battie and Mt. Megunticook (you'll see a white cross at Maiden's Cliff), walk out on the Rockland breakwater....check out the Owls Head lighthouse, go to a play at the Belfast Maskers. Anglers Restarant in Searsport is always packed. Have you heard of Fright at the Fort (Fort Knox)? It's supposed to be really fun and scary... and there's the new bridge in Bucksport (next to the Fort) with the elevator to the top. Have fun!

I hope you know that I meant Anglers Restaurant is very good...that's why it's always packed.

I love Belfast! They have a small, but nice, art show down at the waterfront every summer as well as all the other events mentioned here.

Still can't attach more than 2 pics.
I have quite a few pics of Belfast that were sent to me by a friend last year. If you'd like to see more, I can email the files to you. I only have winter shots of my own, but most of hers are from the summer.
