Default Things to do in Belfast?

Thinking about driving down to Belfast from Bangor on Saturday with my parents. Is it a nice town? Lots of shopping? Good restaurants? Worth the drive?

Thanks!

If your a shriner check with the Belfast Shrine club. They have a very nice clubhouse, on a Saturday I am sure that they will have some function planned.

A group of really nice guys

In other words there is nothing to do in Belfast! You can go down town in the evening and watch the kids hang out....that's always fun.

Belfast is a great town!! Shopping? depends on what you are shopping for. There are several good restaurants in town. Dudley's has great home cooking. Dockside has an awesome chicken and swiss cheese melt.
What are you looking to do in town?

My favorite place to eat dinner in Belfast is the Penobscot Inn. It's on the south side of town on the left. They do a great job.

I know a few weeks ago the 'PI' had a musician named 'Fingers Frank' there playing piano... quite well known up that way.

Do they still do the Bears? We are moving back to Maine and my kids always loved going to Belfast to see all the bears.
