I sat in the tree stand for two hours this a.m. Saw nothing but squawking bluejays. Went out again late this afternoon and sat in a different spot for an hour or so. Got eaten by mosquitoes. Is it fun yet?

I missed a deer today. A running shot at sunset. Looked for two hours with a flaslight for blood or hair and found nothing. I hate missing! DW says I'm getting old!

Sat this morning for two hours in my favorite spot. Heard some peepers! no deer. Sat again this afternoon until dark in the same spot, got soaked, no deer. I'll sleep good tonight.
