Maine on Travel Channel Today
Just got word that Maine will be featured on The Travel Channel tonight at 8:00 pm CST on "Bizarre Foods". It seems that the host's father lives in Maine and he will visit him and most likely the program will be on Maine foods. I'm not a watcher of this channel but someone told me about this. Hopefully this will be aired up in you Mainers part of the woods. Have to have cable or dish though or maybe you can get it on the net.

We don't have bizarre food here! It's all normal. geesh! Andrew Zimmern is my husband's food hero. We nearly got ourselves kicked out of a Chinese restaurant once because Steve referred to teriyaki chicken as guinea pig on a stick after Andrew had been in Peru. He offended a woman terribly. It was really bad. When he took a bite of teriyaki chicken I "wheet wheet wheeted" (fairly quietly) and that was just about the end of us.

Haha guinea pig on a stick...I always call it cat/dog on a stick. Instead of Pork Fried Rice...it's Cat Fried Rice.

I don't think Road Kill Cafe is around anymore, I think there use to be a couple in Maine and one in N.H. Here is a link to their menu. Very interesting variety!
