There may be a loophole - if you buy the lobsterboat in Feb you qualify for an exemption.

Sam finally came out from under the bed covers. My bed is an airbed-the only thing that would fit in my car. It actually works just fine for now. I went shopping for a real bed-the one I liked including the mattress was almost $1K. Forget that. The airbed will have to do for a while. I refuse to use credit. It's cash or it will wait. That zero balance on the credit card is worth the wait for anything. I worked hard to pay off everything and I'm not going back. That's one of the few advantages of having no family--you have total control over what gets spent.
I'd like to know more about the Bangor Area December Lunch. I'd love to come.

Has no one told you about Marden's?? There's one in Brewer on the main drag. Don't know if it has the deals that our Ellsworth store has on name brand bed sets -- but you can snag a comfortable queen set for under $500!

The agent asked me "why Maine" and I told her this forum had a lot to do with it. I felt the warmth, the open attitude, and the love for Maine.

I will of course continue to enjoy all of you and might just jump in every so often with my comments. I feel like I may have finally found "home"
A big congratulations to you and Sam!

I'll check out Mardens. Thanks for the info. Everyone I talk to from Southern California (friends, family) wish they were here--the summer just won't go away there--still in the 70's and 80's. It might rain (in Southern Ca) on Thanksgiving. They are waiting with anticipation and hope. (Did I say how happy I am to be here, this is my paradise.)

Thanks for the congratulations from all of you. You are making me feel so very welcomed.
