Smile Travel RN lives in Motorhome
I am considering a 13 week assignment at Mount Desert Island Hospital. I live and travel with my husband and dog in our motorhome. We are Californians and are currently in AZ. the furthest east I have been. Would like info or suggestions re: where to park our home, what is a must to see and do, what to expect regarding people, traditions, etc. And last but not least, what makes you happy or proud to live in Bar Harbor, ME? Thank You.

There are plenty of mobile home parks within commuting distance to Bar Harbor. If I were you, I would consider trying to reserve space off the island in Trenton, and taking the Island Explorer bus to work. It may prove easier and cheaper to do than to reserve for 13 weeks on Mt Desert Island itself. If your motor home tows a car, it will be a great time.

Best start working on your reservation right now, as you will be coming here at the beginning of the big season, I suspect.

What Acadianlion said. Mount Desert is a big summer tourist center, so make your arrangements early.
