No, she's sharp as a tack. I love her to pieces (she's the only Mama I have left on this earth). Sniff, sniff.

There are a lot of us on here that are not quite right and I laugh at us..a lot. But I am glad txmom's MIL is not one of the not quite right group.

Me too!!! One anyway! My dear friend gave me one as a birthday present, along with a talking fly swatter.... lol... so I plugged in the little 1 foot tree already decorated tonight and it's got my spirit going... the 5' and 7' pencil trees are coming upstairs tomorrow... I'm thinking this year I'll do the 5' in red cardinals and white ribbons... have no clue yet about the 7'.... but I have an ungodly supply of items to choose from... it's that whole MAHTHA thing.....

It's funny how your Christmas tree decorations become the story of your life. Most of our decorations now have some meaning for us. Not so when we were first married! We have ones we have made over the years, ones the kids have made, ones we bought when we were into some kind of strange thing , some old ones from my mother's tree, some new ones from the kids and new friends, and some we have no clue where they came from! They all have real meaning when on the tree and they always bring a smile ...every year!

Nice tree, Maineah!

Coastal, I'm not Martha-like at all. I like the kind of tree you can just pull out of the box and plug in.

I need to get busy and get the kids a real tree next year!
