So, has anyone tried the bags of Dunkin Donuts coffee that they sell in the grocery store? It's time to pick up more coffee, and I was thinking of starting to make the switch, since we're only THIRTY SEVEN days from leaving this place!!!!

UNLESS it's DD in Calais, which you should avoid like the plague when seeking coffee! I don't know how they ruin it quite as completely as they do, it's like nothing I've ever had at any other DD... thank goodness or they'd be out of business. But, yes, it's good coffee

Thanks for the heads up!! We always go to the DD in Dedham on the
way into Bangor. No drive thru there, but they are fast, efficient and
consistent. Plus my parrot, who travels with us, LOVES the egg
sandwiches. Really!

Good to know! I don't even buy take-out coffee in our area. It all sucks! Now, Red Lobster makes excellent coffee! It's worth going there just for the coffee and dessert.
I know! I know! No more RL when we get there. If we had authentic downeast coffee shops, restaurants and cafes here, I wouldn't choose RL. But remember, we're in the land of the generic....no character or personalized service required.

Oh Molly, thank you! It's my biggest pet peeves to! I've been known to correct a few people up there and down here. Of course, in the nicest way possible.
Ban ger is another one too! Yes, only acceptable for Roger Miller.
Sweet tea? When a customer asked of we had sweet tea, I'd gladly bring them a glass of ice tea and hand them the sugar packets. There, now you can make it was 'sweet' as you like!

Travis Tritt does the same thing on his song "Southbound Train" -- it IS
annoying! Remember the movie starring Goldie Hawn -- The Banger Sisters? I think of THAT every time someone pronounces Bangor wrong!!

I have a friend whose DH is originally from NC.... he taught her to make it a number of years ago, and that was the first time I'd tried it. It's good... but I don't know that it would quench my thirst. I like my Nestea!
