it has just started to snow here in Corinth; there were wee flurries as we left Hannifords on Union St. -- we went out to breakfast and decided to do our "milk and bread" run, though in our case, since we are well supplied with milk and bread, we got tea bags, lemon juice, hard cider (my winter replacement for beer which is what I used to lay in for hurricane parties) and chocolate.

we have propane and kerosene and I am collecting containers in which to save out a bit of water, in case the power goes out.

already HAVE the Allens! but I bet the little store where I work will be sold out of it unless they have a bigger back stock than I expect, by the time I get to work tomorrow at 4 pm.

They had lots of milk when I "did" the cooler yesterday at 4 too... but I am expecting it to be pretty thin by tomorrow, too...

If you have ever enjoyed a Brandy Alexander, try one with Allens! That's how I have been drinking mine...

I don't think I've had a Brandy Alexander in about 25 years. They are good and they 'do' pack a wallop! *clink* <---- a toast to your snowfall!

Want to know a secret.....I don't buy it either!!! Never have....never will!! Now Bailey's that's a different story. We took back the bottles from Thanksgiving's feast today and had enough to buy a jug of Baileys....I think I might have a little sip soon!

Sunday 4:40 PM: We have about 4 1/2 inches of new snow so far and it's still coming down fast! We saw a guy who took out a guardrail on 95 in Brunswick. It's real slippery even for the 4x4.

I don't think I had one.....is that the coffee brandy, vodka and milk? or is that a Black Russian....

Do Mainers drink Allen's because its cheaper than Kaluaha or because its better/different? Is it made in Maine? Is there an Allen family involved?

Whoa.....I see this is getting seriously off topic.....so back to the weather.....Its coming down fast and furious here in Gorham.....the little dog hated it....even though we shoveled an area for her....she got ice and snow in the pads of her feet.....limping and complaining until it melted. The big foolish dog.....a california girl....doesnt understand it....but loves it.
