Tankratt, stay safe!

We had a brief mini blizzard this morning. The sun is out now but the wind is horrendous. It wasn't this bad during the storm.

We had a deluge of rain from the storm. It washed all the white stuff completely away. It was mild and 53 last night. Then the rain and wind came. I thought my roof was going to blow off the wind howled so loud last night. And did it ever pour. Buckets. Sideways.

I'm not surprised some of you got a mini-blizzard of that stuff! The wind is still gusting pretty good here, but the sun is out now. Still fairly warm too. Nice day for a walk in the woods with loved ones.

Merry Christmas everybody!

We're getting some snow right now, but the good thing about it is that it will be gone by tomorrow. I can handle the snow, but the cold really gets to me.

Down at my parents in S.E. Mass the 15 inches of snow melted and washed away over one night (the 24th-25th). I've never seen that amount of snow melt so quickly.

Wow! We're still in the mid 70s but cooling off to the upper 60s tomorrow. I can't believe you're getting snow out there! So unfair!! We have enough moisture in the air (yuck!) that if it cooled off, we'd probably have some snow, but we just get thunderstorms today.

Enjoy your little bit of snow while it's there!

We had a few inches of snow today, changed over to sleet now. I hope it goes to rain and doesn't freeze up. The power has gone out twice briefly. Tomorrow should be warmer and rainy.

I spent a couple years at USM. The area regularly got snow on a daily basis. Now that I've been here in downstate NY, even 3 inches is a huge deal here. It's so funny. on Long Island (NY that is!) we miss out on a lot of snow that inland gets. We really don't get that much, so every little bit is a big deal.

I *never* thought I'd come to Maine and have the weather be warmer than Colorado in December. I left an arctic freeze back home and we had 40s for Xmas in Portland, and 50 today in Camden. Then again, it'll be 60 in Denver tomorrow...
