When I got home last night it was 4 degrees.... I've put my order for snow in! I'd much rather have that than the colder air. Today though the sky is bright blue and there's no wind so far, it's cold, but it's beautiful!

I agree with you Molly, I'd much rather have the snow than the colder temps. A nice January thaw would be appreciated, just to clear the ice from the dooryard! I feel so bad for anyone working outside.

We've been looking at the weather forcasts for Down East, and they keep changing the %^&* thing! One day, it's clear and sunny except for Saturday, and the next it's snow or sleet for the same days! Not that a change from 80* every day wouldn't be appreciated, but planes make me anxious enough without worrying if they're gonna slide off the runway! And then, there's driving on icy roads that we're not familiar with.

Casper welcome to Maine! There's a saying, "you don't like the weather, wait a minute".... one of those old time sayings that came about because it's so true! Both Portland and Bangor have outstanding reputations as far as runway conditions, and the main roads will probably be bare unless you arrive just after a storm, so I think that you can be a little less anxious about that

Casper unless you get here during the middle of a storm or right after a storm you will be fine. Even if you arrive during or after, take it slow and you will be fine. I am so happy for you that your dream is coming true!

Snowplow came through a little while ago and buried my car - I am parked on the street. Mensaguy broke the snow shovel trying to shovel his car out of the driveway but he got out and it took him 1/2 hour to drive 7 miles on the interstate but he made it to work. Salt trucks are out in force following the snowplows - guess since my car is under a bunch of snow, I'll just be watching it come down for now.
