I like the shortened version. It's still the same witty, lovable " mermie".

Oh it's you!! When I first saw the island mermaid moniker under the post I was going to DM you and tell you someone was moving in on your name! I like the shorter version too!
A Fort Lauderdale Mermaid was believable. No self respecting mermaid would live in Maine waters??!! No one would have believed Isle au haut Mermaid!!

Congratulations on being able to get you "name" changed!

CD typically works with us! LOL They had to help we enough in the beginning.

I've been thinking about changing my name to "MooseLady" because that's my nickname at work! LOL My office is way to way "something" Moose!

BTW, thanks for the card! I WILL address mine soon!

Silly Maineah!
IAH mermaid was too long. Also many people have not heard of Isle Au Haut, and have no clue that it's in Maine. My other choice was mermaidinmaine. Also way too long.

By the way, I grew up swimming in those waters and continue to do so.
When the water temp on the GPS on my boat read at least 58 degrees, I'd jump in anywhere. I really am a water person and need to be in it, on it, or near it!
My kids were shocked one Mothers Day spent on Popham beach when I went swimming. When you feel the call.... you just have to do it!

It was so easy! First I DM'd 7th to ask how to do it. He directed me to one of the senior mods, either *** or Markablue. I just sent them a DM yesterday and poof! Here I am!

Coastal helped me find some info regarding whether your friends come along with you and if you lose rep points etc. She's pretty helpful that way. She can research anything in a whizbang minute!

Water that cold and I'd end up with an "inny" if you know what I mean!!
