Considering moving to Caribou Maine. How is it there?
We are considering buying a 2 family house in Caribou to get away from the hustle and bustle of life where we are now. How is life in Caribou?

The word desolation comes to mind.

Slow and buy a couple snowmobiles when you get there, my son just left there an hour ago. You won't find much hustle and bustle there except during the winter and if you live next to one of the many ITS trails. When you start hearing hundreds of sleds running through town, you'll then have some hustle and bustle. No worries though, they're not TOO loud.

It's a city but it is desolate?
Thanks for your reply. I figured Caribou would be less desolate since it was a city and had more to offer. Am I wrong?

They call Caribou the northernmost city in the US?
I'm going by the tagline of Caribou being the "northernmost city the US. I guess that's what you call a "misnomer"?

Caribou is not a city. They call it one and compared to Woodland, Mapleton or other small towns. It probably does seem like a city. There are less than 8,000 people living there. That's pretty small. It's a nice place though!
