Default Lunch at WaCo with AustinB

Just thought I’d mention that AustinB and I had lunch yesterday at the WaCo (good haddock). We sat, ate and talked for a bit over an hour. What a nice guy. Then we both wound up at The Commons right after and we talked over there with one of the owners for another half hour or so. He also told me where Peachies place is. Needless to say, from his review, DW and I will be coming by at some point to eat. Sounded great. It was good meeting you, Bob.

Hey that's great!
If you had lunch with him yesterday, then I'll probably be seeing him and Mrs. Austinb tonight at the N&C.
I've been lucky to meet up with them almost every Saturday night. If you liked Austinb, you'll love his bride. She's great!

I will enjoy meeting you both retiredtinbender!

Sounds like you all had a wonderful time - hope to have lunch with all of you in the Spring, WACO is fine with me.

Two guys opened up a diner in Eastport in the early 1900's. WaCo comes fromn the first 2 letters of their last name. For the life of me I can't remember their names. Mostly run by natives townfolk since but now run by a couple from NY. Been done over a lot in the last 10 years but the food is good. Sometimes the service is slow. But we always enjoy it.

DW says Washburn-Colwell. Have to check with Nancy to make sure but I think that's right

DH and I love WaCo Diner (a two hour trip for us). One time this summer while we ate outside
overlooking the water and there was a minke whale out in the bay. And...I think we spotted the
local mystery book writer there too!

When the krill are thick so are the minke. Those and seals. Just look for the gulls. Go on the Sylvina Beale to see eagles, whales and more. Good cruise even if you don't see squat. And the writer is usually walking with her husband and the dog. Nice folks.
