That gent was recently interviewed for an NPR show that is recorded in Durham, NC... The Story. I listened to it last week when it aired. It was quite a long piece (30-35 minutes), & a treat to listen to his Maine accent! Though it was sad to hear lobster just went on sale for the same price as bologna (according to the piece).

Stop and Shop had it for $5.99 last week, but on Thursday they raised it up to $7.99. I guess to make moolah off it for Christmas... but even at $7.99 it's cheaper than a lot of the deli meats and even a good steak!

Some time ago a company called Pepperidge Farm (bakers of bread, etc) had a spokesman who spoke with a Maine accent. He was trying to be old-time and folksy. His ads would always end with, "Pep'ridge Fahm Remembahs!"

Reminded me of the Bert and I stuff!
